4860 Rainier Ave South, Suite D,

Seattle, WA 98118

We’re up the stairs between Eileen Fisher & Chrysanthemum, across the street from Gather Consignment, Columbia City Bakery and Bob’s Meats. And we’re a short walk down beautiful Edmunds from the LINK light rail.

I wholeheartedly believe mindfulness is one of the most important subjects that could ever be taught in schools. Space Between does this work in Seattle, and I’m so excited for the first of what I will hope will be many opportunities for Columbia City Yoga to benefit their mission.
We so look forward to this practice each month! Book some time for yourself and maybe a loved one, too ❤️

His classes build incrementally towards peak poses, making them attainable and sustainable. 🌤️ Aside from his classes' flexibility, strengthening, and health elements, he loves teaching the mindfulness element of yoga – developing focus and willpower as a bridge to expanded awareness. 🌤️ Adi has been practicing since the late 90s and teaching since 2003. His primary teachers have been Melina Meza, Rod Stryker, and Shiva Rea. His teaching is also grounded in the meditation and movement work of the PachaMama eco-village in Costa Rica, Zen Buddhism, and Usui Reiki ✨

Lemme just say: Sound baths are powerful. And Megan Sloan is my favorite. For years, I attended her sound baths at Yogabliss, first after a front desk shift, then after my regular Friday class…and it was something I missed the very most during the pandemic shutdowns. I’m stoked she’s sharing her vibes (literally 🤓) in Columbia City! 🧡 🌤️ Megan is an expert in sound healing, having dedicated over 15 years to studying its therapeutic benefits. She initially trained in Acutonics, a method that utilizes tuning forks on acupuncture points. She then shifted her focus to crystal singing bowls as a means of working with groups of people. In 2010, she began offering sound baths in Seattle, and at that time was one of the few practitioners in the area. 🌤️ I can personally attest to the transformative experience she offers. Her sessions are suitable for first-timers and seasoned attendees alike, as they offer both accessibility and depth. There’s no need for any prior yoga or meditation experience. 🌤️ She brings her bowls and chimes and warm kindness on the first Friday of each month.

Meet Richard! From the very beginning inklings of Columbia City Yoga, I have been hoping and planning for Richard to be a part of the team. If you don’t know Richard already, you’re in for a treat. As an athlete, Richard pushed his limits without realizing the harm. Yoga taught him the value of slowing down and paying attention. Through mindful practice, he rediscovered his true self, shedding ego and attuning to the world around him. With a 500 RYT certification and training from Annie Carpenter (SmartFlow) and Tiffany Russo, he guides students through mindful strengthening and balancing practices. 📅 Richard’s Classes: 🌞 Tuesday: 6pm - Hatha & Vinyasa 🌞 Thursday: 9:30am - Hatha & Vinyasa 🌙 Starting 7/11: 7:30pm - Restorative Yoga 🌙 Starting 7/13: Noon - Yoga Conditioning 🌈 Whether you're seeking physical progression or personal growth, Richard's classes will provide the perfect blend. No quick fixes here, just dedicated practice and lasting change.

Hey there! 🙏 Allow me to introduce myself: I'm Julia, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to my new yoga studio! (Btw- 🥹, 🤯, 🥰) In 2006, my transformative yoga adventure began. Since, yoga has been an integral part of my life. Initially enticed by the challenge of fierce and powerful flows, I soon discovered the profound meditative qualities of yoga, prompting me to dive deeper into the world of mindfulness and meditation. 🧘‍♀️✨ Over the years, my practice has evolved, and I've cultivated a diverse range of styles, including yin, restorative, yoga nidra, and mindfulness meditation. But I believe I've only scratched the surface of this beautiful journey. In my grounding, breath-centric classes, you can expect morsels of ancient yogic and Buddhist philosophies as well as modern research, all interwoven with an occasional bad joke🌟 Oh, and I love to include music and readings. Any Mary Oliver fans out there? 📚 Really, I’d love to see you in practice: 📅 Fridays at 4:30 PM: Join me for a blissful fusion of Vinyasa and Nidra 🧡 📅 Thursdays at 6 PM and Saturdays at 8:30 AM: A Strong, Flowing Vinyasa with Hatha flavors🧡 📅 Thursdays at 8 AM: Mindfulness Meditation🧡 (I sneak in a bit of breath and movement here too—I can't resist!) Plus, this one's a HYBRID class, so you can join us in-studio or from the comfort of your own space! 🌍 And I'm just getting started! Stay tuned because I'll be adding more soon, namely yin and restorative 🌕
